WACCRA is a volunteer-run organization. As such, we are as strong as our members who volunteer their time and expertise to advocate for themselves and their CCRC neighbors, both local and across the state of Washington.
Here are some ways you can participate:
Currently, seven CCRC communities have a resident WACCRA member who serves as their CCRC’s WACCRA Liaison. The Liaison serves as an “in-house” resource for members, works to grow membership within the CCRC, and educates CCRC residents about issues of interest to WACCRA.

Communications Committee - Monica Clement, Chair

WACCRA’s Board meets on the second Friday of each month from 10 a.m. to noon. Meetings are held at one of the CCRC’s on a rotating basis. All members are welcome to attend. (Note: due to the COVID restrictions that started in 2020, the Board Meetings were held via ZOOM. Going forward, this arrangement may be convenient again.)
The Annual Meeting is held at one of the CCRCs. Members vote on new Board members and have the opportunity to meet WACCRA leadership to discuss issues. The meeting program includes a guest speaker.
