About Us

Anyone who cares about the security and well-being of people who live in Continuing Care Retirement Communities is invited to join this association.

Most of WACCRA’s members live in CCRCs in Washington state. The Membership Committee reaches out to the CCRCs to sign up new members and encourages current members to renew their memberships every year. 

Anyone is welcome as a member of WACCRA; click the Membership Form link here. As you’ll see on the form, there are three options: Regular members who live in Washington state CCRCs are entitled to vote; Regular members who do not live in a CCRC may not vote in WACCRA elections or other matters but receive all WACCRA’s member communications; and Family members (also non-voting) who are related to a regular member and who want to be kept informed on developments affecting residents. The annual dues for Family members are kept low to encourage CCRC residents to add children or other relatives to the list.

All members are welcome to serve on WACCRA committees if they are interested or have experience or knowledge that can help WACCRA achieve its mission.

WACCRA maintains contact with several nonprofit organizations and associations that focus on the needs of senior citizens. Members of WACCRA are often active in these related organizations, helping WACCRA stay current on the important policy developments and community resources that can improve the lives of seniors across the state.
